Gertrude Burris, 79, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Thursday, July 27,  2017 at 7:15 P.M. at Signature Healthcare at Summit Manor.

She was born January 28, 1938, in Adair County, to the late Bill and Florence Scott Wilson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kalup Burris, two sons, Mike Lee and Lewis Dale Burris, two grandchildren, Mindy Kay and Angela Ann Burris and a sister, Stella Parson.

Survivors include:

Two sons and two daughters-in-law – Travis Burris, Danny and Debbie Burris and Sherry Burris all of Columbia

One granddaughter – Sara Burris

One sister – Emma Rodgers of Columbia

Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

Funeral service – Monday, July 31, 2017 at 12 Noon at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Shelton officiating

Burial in Tarter’s Chapel Cemetery

Visitation after 5:00 P.M. Sunday
