Harold Calvin "Cherokee" Allinson, 64, of the Sparksville community in Adair County, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville

He was born September 9, 1948, to the late Beryl & Jewell Allinson and served in Vietnam in the US Army Special Forces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Carol Yarberry Allinson on June 12, 2012

Survivors include:
Two sons - Rhett Allinson of Columbia, Shane Ferguson of Brandenburg
One daughter - Rhea Allinson of Columbia
Three brothers - Milan & Boyd Allinson both of Arkansas, Eugene Allinson of Louisville
One grandchild - Mandi Allinson

At Cherokee's request, there will no public visitation or funeral service
