Jerry Lee Turner, 69, of Columbia, died Friday, June 30, 2017 at 5:05 A.M. at his home.
He was born October 18, 1947 in Chance, Kentucky, to the late Millard Payne & Lyda Mae Piercy Turner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years and love of his life, Linda Petty Turner on February 11, 2016, a daughter, Tammy Turner Franklin on July 17, 2016, a sister, Betty Redmon, and a brother, Joe Turner.
Jerry was an active member of Purdy Separate Baptist Church for over 36 years, having served as youth leader, Sunday School teacher and Sunday School superintendent. He was a Kentucky licensed blaster and had been employed by Scott & Ritter Company as a blaster and foreman for over 40 years. More than anything, Jerry enjoyed his family. His favorite pastime was watching his daughters, grandchildren and, more recently, his great-grandchild walk through the door.

One Son-in-law – Larry Franklin
One Brother – Larry Turner (Cathy) of Columbia
Three sisters – Jeanette Petty and Nancy Burton (Mick) all of Columbia, Dency Upton of Bowling Green
Brother-in-law – Bobby Redmon
Sister-in-law – Joyce Turner
Two special friends/caregivers – His nephew, Bro. Adam Burton and his great-niece, Alyssa Coffey
