Theresa Smith, 66, of the Cool Springs community, died November 7, 2017 at 8:18 A.M. at her home.

She was born June 8, 1951, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late John and Frankie Nelson.  Theresa was secretary for J. Downey & Son for several years.

Survivors include:

Her long-time companion – Leon Burris of Cool Springs

Two brothers – John Nelson, Jr. of LaGrange, Mike Nelson of California

One sister – Susan Guest of Louisville

Several other relatives and friends

Funeral service – Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with burial to follow in Tarter’s Chapel Cemetery

Visitation after 10:00 A.M. Thursday
