Chris Grant, 38, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 3:23 P.M. at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville from injuries received in automobile accident on June 6, 2017 in Taylor County.

He was born May 26, 1979, in Adair County.  He was a mechanic, artist, potter, heavy equipment operator and carpenter.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Lawrence “Dick” Grant and maternal grandparents, Paul and Mary Belle Burbridge and a half-brother, Stewart Randal Grant, Jr.  He was a member of Columbia Church of Christ.

One half-sister – Amy Grant Whitaker of Somerset

Paternal Grandmother – Rachel Grant of Columbia

Two aunts – Sissy (Tilford) Loy and Beverly England

Three uncles – Odell Tabor and David Lynn Grant, Tilford (Rita) Hoover

The mother of his sons – Keisha Downey

Graveside service – Friday, June 16, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. in the McClister Cemetery at Fairplay with Terry Smith officiating
