Doris Jean Miller, 76, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Monday, September 11, 2017 at 9:40 P.M. at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville.

She was born November 2, 1940, in Adair County, to the late John and Christine Burbridge Miller.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by John D. Bailey, two sons; Jimmy and Donnie Miller, a grandson; Marcus Caldwell, one brother and two sisters; Roy Miller, Martha Nell Miller and Lottie Alexander.

Doris was a member of First Baptist Church and had worked in the kitchen at the “old” Circle R, the hospital and nursing home.

Survivors include:

Two sons – Timmy Miller and Trey Grider both of Columbia

Four daughters and sons-in-law – Davie and Antone Johnston of Louisville, Mary Ann and Greg Caldwell, Kelly and Robert Turner, Verchelle and Russ Wheat all of Columbia

Three brothers – Joe, Barksdale and James Miller all of Columbia

Three sisters – Georgia Hughes of Louisville, Shirlene Ingram of Columbia, Norlene Smith of Richmond

25 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and friends

Funeral service – Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Murphy delivering the eulogy

Burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery

Visitation on Friday from 5:00–8:00 P.M.
