James Clyde Pelly, 89, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Sunday, July 2, 2017 at 10:30 P.M. at TJ Health Emergency Room in Columbia
He was born November 7, 1927, in Adair County, to the late James Logan and Annie Cornelious Farris Pelly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Terry Ann Pelly and two grandsons; Kody Pelly and James Dewayne “Garfield” Pelly.
Clyde was a member of Columbia Christian Church, was a retired engineer from the Kentucky Department of Highways and a farmer. He was an avid coon hunter, University of Kentucky basketball fan, loved hunting and fishing and his two special dogs, Casey & Nicky.

His wife of 68 years – Louise Stone Pelly of Columbia
Two sons – Wayne (Vocal) Pelly and Bobby Joe (Kim) Pelly all of Columbia
One daughter – Kathy (Jeff) Rodgers of Columbia
Four grandchildren – Paul Pelly, Jessi Janes, Jazmyn Burton and Jared Rodgers
Six great-grandchildren – Isaiah Pelly, Lilli & Averi Ballard, Mary Kate Janes, Casper & Parker Burton
Six step-great-grandchildren – Bryce & Skylar Bechtel, Ethan Toblin, Matthew, Mason & Karly Janes

Funeral service – Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Terry White officiating
