Jean Pickett, 84, of Columbia, died Sunday, August 13, 2017 at 6:36 P.M. at the T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow.

She was born September 20, 1932 in Adair County, to the late James Henry & Mollie Burris.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Pickett on April 8, 1976, one daughter, Cynthia Munday, three brothers, Jr., Robert & Ken Burris, and four sisters, Lula Reliford, Dorthy Moss, Lucille Chapman & Katherine Morrison.  She was a member of Columbia Christian Church, retired from Fruit of the Loom after 30+ years and worked as an aid at Colonel William Casey for seven years.

Survivors Include:

One Son – Mark (Sharon) Pickett of Columbia

One Daughter – Valerie (Marshall) Barnett of Columbia

Four Grandchildren – Matt Pickett, Chad (Kim) Barnett, Clint Barnett & Cassy Barnett

Several Other Relatives & Friends also survive

Funeral Service – Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Terry White, Bro. Raymond Martin & Bro. Tim Johnson officiating

Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery

Visitation after 5:00 P.M. Tuesday

Memorials are requested to Columbia Christian Church and can be left at the funeral home.
