Jerry Dial, 71, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Friday, August 4, 2017 at 4:30 A.M. at T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow.

He was born January 21, 1946, in Adair County, to the late Walter and Della Mae Compton Dial.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Crawhorn Dial, a son, Leland Pelston, a grandson, Joshua Moss and five siblings; Maurice and James Walter Dial, Pauline Pyles, Mary Dial Poe, Brenda Stephens. 

Jerry accepted Christ at age 12 and was baptized in the Columbia Baptist Church and had been attending Bloomington Chapel Church until his health failed. He was a former employee of the State Highway Department and operated with his late wife a Family Care Home for 34 years.

His children – Harrison and his wife Shirley Moss, Reed and his wife Cathy Moss, Clara and her husband Rodney Maggard all of Columbia, Mary Alice Whittle and her significant other Jerry Robinson of Latonia, Kentucky

One sister – Alice and her husband Bob Pyles of New Albany, Indiana

Seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren

Funeral service – Sunday, August 6, 2017 at 4:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Ralph Foster officiating

Burial in Columbia Cemetery

Visitation after 5:00 P.M. Saturday
