Leon Hoover

Leon Hoover, 85, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Sunday, September 9, 2018 as the result of a single vehicle accident on Highway 704 in Adair County.

He was born April 23, 1933, in the Chance community, to the late Tom and Annie Nokes Hoover, a member of Emory Chapel United Methodist Church, a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the Korean War and retired from Reynolds Aluminum.

His wife – Dawn Estes Hoover of Columbia

Three children – Kelly Hoover of Columbia, Terry Hoover of Woodstock, Georgia, John Hoover of Somerset

Two brothers – Charles Hoover of Illinois and Norman Hoover of Chance

One sister – Valley Shearin of Chance

Several other relatives and friends

The family has chosen cremation and no public visitation or funeral will be held

Memorials can be made to the Burbridge Cemetery Fund or Emory Chapel United Methodist Church. These may be left at the funeral home.
