Murray Scott

Murray Scott, 81, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 7:57 P.M. at his home.

He was born September 17, 1936, in Adair County, to the late Jack and Georgia Murray Scott.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister; Ida Mae Corbin.

Murray was a member of Columbia Baptist Church, serving as Deacon, former Trustee, Usher and in any capacity needed.  He retired from Nelson County School System and was a former sign painter.

Survivors include:

His wife of 62 years – Juanita McKinney Scott of Columbia

One daughter – Patricia Scott of Columbia

Three sons – Jack Scott and wife, Teresa, of Columbia, Greg Scott and wife, Kimberly, of Waco, Kentucky, Harold Scott and wife, Debbie, of Portland, Tennessee

Seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren

Funeral service – Friday, March 9, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Columbia Baptist Church with Gary Lane, Harold McKinney, Laura McKinney and Bro. Aaron LaBarge officiating

Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery

Visitation after 4:00 P.M. Thursday and from 6:00 A.M. until 8:30 A.M. Friday at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home and after 9:00 A.M. Friday at the Columbia Baptist Church

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to Columbia Baptist Church Vacation Bible School, which can be left at the funeral home or church
