Albert Grider, 94, of Columbia, Kentucky died Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Summit Manor Nursing Home
He was born March 20, 1931, in Cumberland County, to the late Homer and Ettie Lee Davidson Grider. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Yule Grider, Vernon Grider, James Grider, Shell Grider, J.B. Grider, Allen Willam Grider, two sisters, Kathleen Kearns and Louise Brummett and the following brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Grider, Mary Elizabeth Grider, Nadine Grider, Johnny Kearns, Randy Gibson, Porter McCoy and Bobby Brummett.
Mr. Grider was a member of Amandaville Christian Church in Bakerton, where he led singing, taught Sunday School and did whatever he could for the church. He was a retired carpenter, cabinet maker and enjoyed his garden and fishing.

One son and daughter-in-law – William and Lee Grider of Columbia
One daughter and son-in-law – Joann and Robert Montgomery of Columbia
Four grandchildren – Joseph Grider (Peyton), Zachary Grider, Michael (Emalee) Montgomery, Emma Grider
Four great-grandchildren – Myla, Jameson, Truett and Bennett
Bonus grandchildren – Adam Montgomery and Callie Smith
One brother – Jessie Grider (Brenda) of Burkesville
Two sisters – Dottie Gibson of Amandaville and Margaret “Cricket” McCoy of Burkesville
