Allene Hardwick, 95, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Friday, May 29, 2026, at 3:09 A.M. at Summit Manor Nursing Home
She was born August 27, 1930, in Adair County, to the late William “Bill” and Mabel Loy Rowe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tim Hardwick and the following siblings; Lilliam Grimmer, Jo Marie Rowe, Glenn “Dude” Rowe, Robert “Shaw” Rowe, Elroy “Buck” Rowe, Elva Rowe and Floyd Rowe.
She attended Old Concord Church, formerly worked at Union Underwear and she and her husband owned and operated several Restaurants in Columbia years ago. She taught Sunday School at Trinity United Methodist Church for 50 years.
Survivors include:
Her son and daughter-in-law – Curtis and Jane Hardwick of Columbia
Two grandchildren – Tim Hardwick (Jennifer) and Ashley Hardwick all of Columbia
Three great-grandchildren – Caroline Hardwick, Madeline Hardwick and Griffen Hardwick
One sister – Christine Hickerson of Chicago, Illinois
One brother – Leon Rowe of Columbia
Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
Funeral service – Sunday, June 7, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Rev. William Davenport and Rev. Pat Smith officiating
Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery
Visitation after 5:00 P.M. Saturday
