Antony Dwayne “Tony” Martens, 81, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.
He was born December 7, 1941, in Peoria, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Elsie Bisco Martens, a son, William Martens and a brother, Jim Martens. Tony attended New Life for the Nations, was a retired carpenter and a former Prison Chaplain.
Survivors include:
His wife of 62 years – Helen Lorene Martens of Columbia
One son – Charles Martens of Tompkinsville
One brother – Everett Cook II, of Ohio
One sister – Jessie Cook Hood of Columbia
Several other relatives and friends
Graveside service – Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. in Columbia Cemetery with Rev. Gerald Reliford officiating
Burial to follow
There will be no visitation
