Brenda Lee (Bernard) Simpson

Brenda Lee Bernard Simpson, 77, of Danville, Indiana, died Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at her residence.

She was born June 30, 1945, in Adair County, to the late Losier and Alva Keen Bernard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Buddy, Bobby and Billy Bernard, two sisters, May Franklin and Betty Rogers and her husband, Joseph Simpson.

Survivors include:

Her daughter and son-in-love – Peggy and Kenneth Koelling of Danville, Indiana

Her son and daughter-in-love – Robert and Cassandra Simpson of New Castle, Indiana

13 Grandchildren – Zachary Koelling, Jasmine Stinson, Beau Stinson, Jeremiah Koelling, Julia Taylor, Andrew Villano, Sarah Koelling, Ty Powers, Isaiah Simpson, Joseph Simpson, Jack Simpson, Lilyanne Simpson, Magnolia Simpson

Two great-grandchildren – Ariana and Bryant Koelling

One sister – Frances Freeman of Indianapolis, Indiana

One sister-in-law – Carol Bernard of Columbia

A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

We are celebrating her life, not her death.  She had an amazing life.  She loved her family, her faith and her country more than anything else and she hated to say Goodbye.

Funeral service – Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. CDT at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home

Burial in Beulah Chapel Cemetery

Visitation after 11:00 A.M. Saturday
