Christine Gilpin, 91, of Columbia, KY, died Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 9:30 A.M. at the NHC Hillview in Columbia, Tennessee

She was born April 4, 1923, in Breeding, KY, to the late Fred & Gelina Janes England.  She was a member of Welcome Hill Baptist Church in Lamont, Illinois and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Hurt Gilpin on August 27, 1988

Survivors include:
One daughter – Phyllis Yaglowski of Columbia, TN
Two sons – Richard Gilpin of Tucson, AZ, Kenneth Gilpin of Derby, KS
One brother – Fred England, Jr., of Moore, OK
One sister – Judy Fenter of New Palestine, IN
Five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also survive

Funeral service – Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014 at 3:30 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Douglas Hawkins officiating

Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery

Visitation after 12:30 P.M. Saturday

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to a church or charity of the donor’s choice
