Christine (Baker) Rice

Christine Rice, 85, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.

She was born September 16, 1936, in Adair County, to the late Robert Twyman and Annie Pearl Keltner Baker.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George M. Rice on December 23, 2020, two sons, Gregory H. Caldwell and Ricky N. Caldwell, one grandchild, Joshua Roche, three brothers, Odell, Dillon and Alfred Baker and a sister, Rebecca Parson.

Christine was a member of Charity Baptist Church and retired from Osh Kosh B’Gosh.

Survivors include:

One son – Joey Caldwell (Kelly) of Columbia

Two daughters – Cherita McFarland (Rick) and Janet Biggs (Kenny Gaskins) all of Columbia

One sister – Rachel Lea of St. Petersburg, Florida

Two daughters-in-law – Cindy Caldwell of Greenville, Texas and Judy Caldwell of Columbia

Seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends

Funeral service – Friday, November 5, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. David Karnes and Bro. Elijah Coffey officiating

Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery

Visitation after 11:00 A.M. Friday

In lieu of flowers, donations to Charity Baptist Church would be appreciated and can be left at the funeral home.
