Danny Bottoms

Danny Kay Bottoms, 76, of Russell Springs, KY passed away September 20, 2025 at his residence. He was born on January 28, 1949 to the late Chester and Della Moss Bottoms. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Corbin Bottoms, one brother, Larry Bottoms, a step-daughter, Beverly, and two great-nephews, Jeff Little and Sean Bottoms.

Danny began his career with Kentucky Department of Corrections as an officer at the Kentucky State Reformatory. He promoted through the ranks and retired as a Captain at Northpoint Training Center. He was a member of Knifley Christian Church.

Survivors include:

Two sisters – Barbara Bottoms Banks (late Richard) of Columbia, KY and Sandra Coffey (Jeter) of Russell Springs, KY

Two brothers – Michael Bottoms of Russell Springs and Samuel Bottoms (Sheryl) of Franklin, TN

Grandson – Jason Kelsay (Tiffany) of Campbellsville, KY

Great-granddaughter – Shelby Kelsay of Broadhead, KY

Great-grandsons – Brayden and Max of Campbellsville, KY and Jakeb of South Korea

Great-great-grandchildren – Coe and Hadley Bowman of Broadhead, KY

Fourteen great-nieces and nephews

Funeral service – Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Patton officiating

Burial in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens in Campbellsville, KY

Visitation on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home
