Danny Burton Obituary

Danny Lee Burton was born August 31,1946, in Adair County, to the late Willie C. and Virginia C. Burton.  He passed away on November 14, 2022 in Columbia, Kentucky.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Stacy Burton.

Danny graduated from Adair County High School in 1966 and moved to Indiana where he worked at several jobs including Cummins in Columbus for many years.  Danny’s love for music started at a very young age.  He spent lots of time at his best friend (Reed Hancock) home. Reed’s uncle, Boyd, played the guitar and taught Dan the basics.  Dan’s uncle, Roy, taught and played music with Dan when he would come to Kentucky from Indiana.

Danny enjoyed spending time at his sister’s horse farms and going to Louisville Downs to watch the horse races and meet up with his dad and brother.  He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family and friends.
