David Lee Johnson, 72, of Columbia, Kentucky, died June 25, 2026 at his residence.

He was born August 30, 1953, in Taylor County, to the late Charles Henry Johnson and Lillian Frances Bridgewater Johnson.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Valenia Taylor Johnson and a step-daughter, Telicia Taylor.

David made a profession in Christ at an early age at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was a member of New Grace Fellowship.  To many he was known as “Pie” or “Cat Daddy” because of his love for Cadillacs and he always made sure to play his “Numbers”.

His brother – James Henry Johnson

His children – Ronell Douglas, Shauneeta Douglas-Gault, Shondeveron Shears, Zach Grammer

His step-son – Taran Taylor

Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends

Graveside service – Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. CENTRAL TIME at Crown Hill Cemetery in Campbellsville, Kentucky with Pastor K.F. Tuck officiating
