Delora E. (Blevins) Ford

Delora E. Ford, 91, of Sarasota, Florida, formerly of Campbellsville, Kentucky, died July 27, 2024 in Sarasota, Florida.

She was born August 21, 1932, in Campbellsville, to the late William T. and Anna Mary Hunt Blevins.

She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Paul Ford, on February 1, 1949 and he preceded her in death in 2012.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberli Ford and nine siblings, Thomas Blevins, Otha Blevins, William Blevins, Ina Tucker, Vada Thomas, Neva Morris, Haskel Blevins, Ivan Blevins and Cecil Blevins.

She is survived by three children – Don Ford of Okeechobee, Florida, Mary Ellen Lowe and her husband Robert of Charlotte, Michigan, Byron Ford and his wife Bonnie of Brandon, Florida, three grandchildren, Kimberli Gribbins, Jennifer Frantz and her husband Matt, Stefanie Hancock and her husband Marcus, seven great-grandchildren, Ryan Frantz, Charlotte Frantz, Katherine Hancock, Mollie Hancock, Henry Hancock, Emily Deleon and Ellie Wiseley and a special friend, Evelyn Hayney.

She was a retired Fruit of the Loom worker, a member of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church and loved going to McDonald’s every morning with her friends

Funeral service – Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. (Eastern Time) at Lowell Avenue Baptist Church with Bro. David Griesemer officiating

Burial in Brookside Cemetery in Campbellsville

Visitation at Lowell Avenue Baptist Church will be on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. (Eastern Time) and after 9:00 A.M. (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, August 7, 2024

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to Lowell Avenue Baptist Church Senior Ladies Sunday School Class.  These can be made at the church.
