Donald Barton

Donald Barton, 79, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 4:40 A.M. at Glenview Health & Rehab in Glasgow

He was born December 10, 1945, in Smiths Grove, Kentucky, to the late Romie and Creola Christie Barton.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Burton Barton, one son, Donald Dwayne Barton, one daughter, Doris Hovious, a grandson, Eric Parnell, one brother, Charles Barton and one sister, Cora Elizabeth Barton.

Don was a former factory worker and sawmill worker

Survivors include:

One son – James Barton of Plainfield, Indiana

Two daughters – Donna Parnell (Charlie) and Vonda Fudge (Gene) all of Columbia

One brother – Jim Barton of Campbellsville

Two sisters – Nelda Matthews of Alvaton and Glenda Wilson of Florida

11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

Funeral service – Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home

Burial in Bearwallow Cemetery

Visitation after 10:00 A.M. Saturday

Casket Bearers – Alex Fudge, James Barton, Felicia Shockley, Michael Shockley, Rylee Barton, Jacob Parnell
