Edna (Curry) Karnes

Edna Karnes, 78, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Friday, October 27, 2023.

She was born October 5, 1945, in Adair County, to the late Paul and Dorothy Buckner Curry. Edna was a member of Sparksville Church of the Nazarene and retired as an Instructional Aide from the Adair County School System.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Brady Karnes and a nephew, Brandon Burns.

Her husband – Lonny Karnes of Columbia

One son and daughter-in-law – Bradley and Cheryl Karnes of Columbia

One daughter and son-in-law – Lea Ann and Landon Parnell of Columbia

Four grandchildren – Sarah DeWitt (Alex), Colton Parnell (Britney), Chloe Karnes, Jaxon Karnes

One great-granddaughter – Olivia Parnell

Two sisters and brothers-in-law – Paula & Jeff Pyles of Green County, Mary Anna and Barney Burns of Columbia

Several other relatives and friends

Funeral service – Tuesday, October 31 2023 at 12:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Karnes and Bro. Darrell Pelston officiating

Burial in Cane Valley Cemetery

Visitation after 4:00 P.M. Monday
