Edwin N. Taylor

Edwin N. Taylor, 81, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at TJ Health/Columbia Emergency Room.

He was born July 30, 1943, in Adair County, to the late Edward and Marie Hamilton Taylor.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Glenda Taylor Evans.  Edwin was a member of Columbia United Methodist Church, a US Army Veteran and retired as Chief of Columbia Police Department after 22 years.

Survivors include:

His wife – Carolyn Corbin Taylor of Columbia

His daughter and son-in-law – Candi and Daryl Flatt of Columbia

His granddaughters – Emilee Flatt and Ashton Flatt both of Columbia

Three brothers – Orville Taylor of Indiana, Fred Taylor and Sammy Taylor both of Columbia

Two sisters – Rita Partin of Columbia and Jeanette Rucker of Louisville

Several other relatives and friends

Graveside service – Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Jones Chapel Cemetery with Hunter Underwood officiating

Burial to follow

There will be no visitation at the funeral home
