Elizabeth Ann Smith

Elizabeth Ann Smith, 14, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at 4:55 P.M. at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

She was born March 11, 2005 in Lexington, Kentucky.  Elizabeth professed her faith in Christ, was baptized and became a member of Walnut Hill Separate Baptist Church in Casey County where she enjoyed playing the piano and singing.  She was a Treasurer of the Freshman Class at Adair County High School, a member of the Academic Team and, while at Adair County Middle School, a member of Sources of Strength.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Walker Smith, Paternal Grandfather, Jimmy Smith and Maternal Grandmother, Vicki Cowan.

Survivors include:

Her parents – Rodney and Rebecca Cowan Smith of Columbia

One sister – Emily Smith of Columbia

Paternal Grandmother – Eloise Smith of Albany

Maternal Grandfather – Clifton Cowan of Russell Springs

Two Aunts – Joy Bowlin and Jenny Harlan both of Albany

Three Uncles – Doug Smith of Albany, Chris Smith of Edmonton, Matt Cowan of Houston, Texas

Funeral service – Sunday, March 1, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at the Adair County High School Gymnasium with Bro. Rodney Smith, Bro. Clifton Cowan, Bro. Doug Smith and Bro. Matt Cowan officiating

Burial in Bearwallow Cemetery

Visitation after 4:00 P.M. Saturday and from 7:00 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. Sunday at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home and after 12 Noon Sunday at the Gymnasium
