Obituary

Elroy “Buck” Rowe, 90, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.

He was born February 6, 1933, in Adair County, to the late William “Bill” and Mable Elizabeth Loy Rowe.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Norris Rowe in 1998. 

Buck was a member of Sparksville Church of the Nazarene and a retired farmer.

Survivors include:

One son – Larry Rowe of Columbia

One daughter and son-in-law – Renee and Frank Appleby of Nashville, Tennessee

Four grandchildren – Maegen Somerhalder (Gary), Nicole Darden (Marcus), Kearsten Appleby, Daigan Appleby

Two brothers – Robert “Shaw” Rowe and Leon Rowe both of Columbia

Two sisters – Allene Hardwick of Columbia and Christine Hickerson of Chicago, Illinois

Several other relative and friends

Funeral service – Monday, February 20, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Kingrey and Bro. Robert Adkins officiating

Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery

Visitation after 5:00 P.M. Sunday
