Eugene Melson

Eugene Melson, 90, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 12:40 A.M. at Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville.

He was born March 7, 1932, in Cundiff, Kentucky, to the late James Otha and Gertrude Helm Melson.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Douglas Melson.

Eugene served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, was a member of Hilltop Trinity Full Gospel Tabernacle in Casey County, in the lawn care business and a farmer

Survivors include:

His wife – Ruth Keith Melson of Columbia

His daughter – Cindy Melson Greer of Tucson, Arizona

His daughter-in-law – Brenda Melson of Liberty

His sister – Cecil George of Columbia

Two grandchildren – Elizabeth Stocking and Jasmine Greer

One great-grandchild – Briella Stocking

Several other relatives and friends

Funeral service – Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Clark officiating

Burial in Hilltop Cemetery in Casey County with full military honors presented by the Casey County Veterans Honor Guard

Visitation after 5:00 P.M. Wednesday
