Evelyn (Beard) Komosa

Evelyn Komosa, 102, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at her residence.

She was born August 5, 1922, in Adair County, to the late George Denney “Jack” and Edith Frances Jones Beard.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Adam Komosa on December 3, 1998 and her brother, Dennis Hamilton Beard.

Ms. Komosa was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and a former Secretary at Indiana University. 

She is survived by her care-givers, Janet Antle, Sheila Lynch, Heather Bow, Julie Neal and Mardi Janes

Graveside service – Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at Cane Valley Cemetery with burial to follow

Visitation on Friday from 4:30 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. with a Prayer Service following at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home.  There will be no visitation on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, Ms. Komosa requested that donations go the Lindsey Wilson College in her memory.  These can be left at the funeral home or mailed to 210 Lindsey Wilson Street, Columbia, Kentucky  42728
