Garry Wade Downey

Garry Wade Downey, 68, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Green Hill Manor in Greensburg.

He was born June 22, 1956, in Adair County, to the late Edwin and Ortella Keltner Downey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Karnes. Garry attended Pickett’s Chapel Church, formerly worked at DeLaval and was a farmer.

Survivors include:

One niece – Kim Grant of Columbia

One nephew – Eric Karnes of Columbia

Special friends – Vicki and Jeff Hatcher, Mark Baker and Chad Brown

Funeral service – Friday, September 20, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Huckaby officiating

Burial in Columbia Cemetery

Visitation from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Friday

Casket Bearers: Mark Baker, Jeff Hatcher, Cotton Smith, Boone Coomer, Blake Hatcher, Wally Burress and Brad Brown

Honorary Casket Bearers: Chad Brown, Jr. Brown, Max Downey, Danny Downey, Bobby Downey, Brad Keltner and Rick Keltner
