Gary Conover

Gary Lynn Conover, 62, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at his home after an illness.

He was born October 11, 1961, in Adair County, to Alva Gene Conover and the late Cathy Johnson Conover.  In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Becky Conover Strange and a brother, Larry Conover.

Gary was a member of Columbia Church of God, serving as Pianist and in other areas of ministry  where he was needed.  He was an over the road truck driver for 33 years.

Survivors include:

His wife – Janice Bryant Conover of Columbia

Two sons – Jared Conover (Chelsea) and Brandon Wood (Chelsea) all of Columbia

Seven grandchildren – Ella, Allie, Sadie, Tela and Evie Conover, Grayson and Addie Wood

His father – Rev. Gene Conover of Columbia

Two sisters – Teresa Thompson (David) of Georgetown, Pam Popplewell (Stacey) of Russell County

One brother – Jon Conover (Peggy) of Columbia

Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

Funeral service – Sunday, January 21, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Josh Stephens officiating

Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery

Visitation after 4:00 P.M. Saturday
