Genette (Tweedy) McKinney

Genette McKinney, 87, of Breeding, Kentucky, died Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 1:31 A.M. at the Medical Center Health in Bowling Green.

She was born March 16, 1937, in Cundiff, Kentucky, to the late Jimmy and Josephine Beatrice Watson Tweedy.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Truman Tweedy.  She retired from Fruit of the Loom and was a member of Old Concord Church.

Survivors include:

Her husband of 68 years – JD McKinney of Breeding

One son and daughter-in-law – Roger and Sandy McKinney of Breeding

One daughter and son-in-law – Rhonda and Lynn Fletcher of London

One sister – Glenda Sue Hicks (Carl) of Cedar Hill, Texas

A sister-in-law – Margaret Tweedy of Greensburg

Seven grandchildren – Courtney McKinney, Cara Gibson (Brian), Whitney Reed Glass (Colin), Jesse Reed (Rashell), Casey McKinney, Chris Fletcher (Renee), Cameron Fletcher (Lauren)

11 great-grandchildren, several other relatives and friends

Funeral service – Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home officiated by her Family

Burial in Fudge Cemetery at Breeding

Visitation after 5:00 P.M. Friday
