Genevieve Lewis

Genevieve Lewis, 90, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Monday, May 19, 2025 at 4:05A.M. at Summit Manor Nursing Home.

She was born July 2, 1934, in Adair County, to the late William Edgar and Clara Claywell Janes.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a Grandson, Chris South.

She retired from the Adair County School System after many years in the Lunchroom at Sparksville Grade Center and was a member of Wells Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include:

Her husband – Harris Lewis of Columbia

One daughter and son-in-law – Debbie and Joel South of Columbia

One son and daughter-in-law – Doug and Sheila Lewis of Columbia

Two Grandchildren – Boomer Lewis (Ashley) and Harley Lewis all of Columbia

One great-grandchild – Fallon Lewis and expecting her second great-grandchild in August

Funeral service – Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Shelton officiating

Burial in Fudge Cemetery in Breeding

Visitation after 10:00 A.M. Thursday

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan or the Alzheimer’s Association, which can be made at the funeral home
