Gertrude Knifley Tedder, age 98 passed away Friday, July 18, 2025 at the Grandview Nursing and Rehab Center.
She was born May 3, 1927, in Adair County to the late Deroy Knifley and Mary Eliza White Knifley. She was a member of the Knifley Christian Church and taught Sunday School Preschool children for 43 years at Roley Christian Church. She was a homemaker and made popcorn balls for 39 years at Halloween for the neighborhood children who returned to bring their own children and grandchildren. She was united in marriage to Walter Tedder on October 22, 1947, who preceded her in death on June 23, 1996. She is also preceded in death by nine siblings and their spouses and one special nephew: Ronnie Brandenburg.

Special nephew- Gary Merrit (Gail) of Campbellsville
Special niece- Peggy Knifley Lawson (J.C.) of Campbellsville
Chosen grandchildren- Walter Lee Brandenburg of Roley and Jennifer Brandenburg Owens of Somerset
Plus, a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service- Monday, July 21, 2025 at 1:00 P.M., Central Time at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Brock and Bro. Hugh Withers officiating.
Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery
Visitation at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home on Monday, July 21, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.
The family has request expressions of sympathy be made to the Roley Cemetery Fund and these can be made at the funeral home.
