Gilbert Brock

Gilbert Brock, 79, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Monday, October 22, 2018 at 4:57 P.M. at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.

He was born November 9, 1938, in Adair County, to the late Elbert and Ethel Parson Brock.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Sherry Wolford and the following siblings; Clarence, Lawrence, James & Russell Brock, Annie Elmore, Maerene Shirley, Hattie Moore. 

He was a member of Calvary Temple Church, where he served on the Board for years and retired from Ingersoll-Rand.

He was married to Ina Ruth Brock who preceded him in death on November 3, 1990 and later married Barbara Allen.

One son – Ray (Jennifer) Brock of Columbia

Four daughters – Phyllis (David) Hansel of Columbia, Lisa Brock Ford, Tammy (Troy) McWhorter, Lesa (Daniel) Nimmie all of Campbellsville

Three brothers – Arvis (Pauline) Brock of Mt. Washington, Paul Brock of Shepherdsville, Lester (Charlene) Brock of Columbia

Two sisters – Juanita (David) Day, Wanda (Larry) Mauk all of Columbia

12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren

Funeral service – Friday, October 26, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Calvary Temple Church with Pastor Troy McWhorter and Bro. David Hansel officiating

Burial in Tarter’s Chapel Cemetery

Visitation after 4:00 P.M. Thursday and after 7:00 A.M. Friday at Calvary Temple Church
