Glen Akin, age 83, of the Fairplay Community in Adair County passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024 at his home.
He was born to the late Oris Guy and Dorothy Stotts Akin in Chance, Kentucky on April 4, 1941. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one daughter: Talana Jessie and several brothers and sisters.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Word of Life Family Church and was a retired concrete worker and carpenter.

His wife: Ramona Akin of Columbia
One son and daughter-in-law: Tom and Pennie Akin of Greensburg
One daughter: Tamara Akin of Columbia
One sister: Cathy Grant of Bowling Green.
10 Grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren plus a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service- Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 12 Noon at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Parnell officiating. Burial will follow in the McClister Cemetery.
Visitation is requested from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 and after 7:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home.
