Hildred L. “Pete” Jessie, 76, of Edmonton, KY and formerly of Columbia, KY, died Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, KY.

Born in Breeding, KY, he was the son of the late Oscar and Virgie Estes Jessie.  Mr. Jessie was a member of the Prices Creek Missionary Baptist Church and owner and operator of H.J. Shirts & More and H.J. Storage Buildings in Edmonton.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 53 years, Delsie Wilson Jessie of Edmonton, KY; two daughters, Carolyn Edwards and husband David of Columbia, KY and Lisa Yarberry and husband Junior of Glasgow, KY; a son, Jeff Jessie and wife Stacy of Glasgow, KY; seven grandchildren, Stephen Edwards (Cortney), Dr. Jacob Edwards, Holly Stout (Marty), Adam Yarberry (fiancé Maelyn) and Drake, Carson and Easton Jessie; eight great-grandchildren, Connor, Cooper, Cannon and Camden Stout, Caleb, Katie and Maddux Edwards and Braxton Underwood; a sister, Margaret Gadberry and husband Joe of Breeding; several nieces and nephews and his beloved pet, Gracie.

Funeral service will be held Monday, January 25, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Wayne Sexton officiating

Burial will follow the service in Chestnut Grove Cemetery

Visitation after 3:30 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home
