James Burris, Sr.

James B. Burris, Sr., 73, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Saturday, October 31, 2020 at 8:25 P.M. at Summit Manor Nursing Home.

He was born August 22, 1947, in Franklin, Kentucky, a US Air Force veteran, serving during the Vietnam Era, a member of Columbia Masonic Lodge 96, a former businessman in Columbia and employed by Fruit of the Loom.  His father, David E. “BigBoy” Burris, and his mother, Marlene Jane Sneed Finney, preceded him in death.

Survivors Include:

One Daughter – Stephanie Phillips & her husband Steve “Toe Joe” of Columbia

One Son – Jimmy Burris of Crestwood, KY

Two Sisters – Joyce Reliford & Teresa Schneider both of Columbia

Four Grandchildren – Preston & Caitlin Loy, Erin & Trevor Burris

Several other relatives & friends

Masonic Funeral Rites will be conducted Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home.  Burial will follow the service in Antioch Cemetery with full military honors presented by VFW Post 6097.

Visitation after 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home
