James Charles Kelsay, 77, of Russell Springs, Kentucky, died Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Russell County Hospital.
He was born May 23, 1944, in Adair County, to the late James Lester and Elzora Corbin Kelsay. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Fulkerson and two great-grandchildren.
He retired after 29 years with the Edinburgh, Indiana Police Department, a former firefighter and EMT in Edinburgh, attended Calvary Baptist Church and was currently employed by Stephens Pipe and Steel.

Two sons – Steven Kelsay (Olga) of Taylorsville, Indiana and Shawn (Whitney) Kelsay of Columbus, Indiana
Two step-children – Jeremy Coffey of Russell Springs and Sunshine (Ray) Williams of Fairland, Indiana
Three brothers – Albert Eugene Kelsay (Mindy) of Edinburgh, Indiana, Joe Todd Butler of Russell Springs and David L. Butler of Columbia
13 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren
