James William Stotts, 71, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Sunday, August 24, 2025 at Norton Hospital in Louisville
He was born September 30, 1953, in Sparksville, Kentucky, to the late Bill and Bonnie Sexton Stotts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dewayne (James) Stotts, three brothers, Johnnie, Frankie and Donald Stotts and three sisters, Faye Catlett, Marsha Fudge and Geneva Janes.
James attended White Oak Community Church, was a retired painter/handyman, worked at Osh Kosh B’Gosh for 15 years, enjoyed playing softball, where he was earned the title of the best homerun hitter and was a Non-Denomination Preacher.

A stepson/grandson – Nathaniel Johnson of Columbia
One brother – Larry Stotts (Rosetta) of Columbia
12 grandchildren – Dakota Stotts, Alisha Stotts, Kodie Stotts, Klyn Stotts, Kyler Stotts, Summer Rowe, Mason Rowe, Matthew Stotts, Isaiah Stotts, Ayven Stotts, Ezra Stotts
Four step-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren
Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
Funeral service – Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home
Burial in McClister Cemetery
Visitation after 5:00 P.M. Wednesday
