Jaxson Tate Akin

Jaxson Tate Akin, age 9, of the Glens Fork community, was born June 30, 2016, in Campbellsville, Kentucky and passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Tate was a member of Egypt Christian Church and a fourth grader at Adair County Elementary School.

His parents – Nathan and Jackylin Durham Akin of Glens Fork

His brother – Konner Akin of Glens Fork

His grandparents – Sherry Rogers of Columbia, Bruce Akin of Campbellsville and Troy Harris of Columbia

His great-grandmother – Juanita Brown of New York

Three uncles – Josh Akin of Campbellsville, Jordan Durham and Marc Carroll both of Columbia

His cousin, Kaitlyn Akin, along with several other cousins, relatives and friends

Tate was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jackie Durham and Cindy Harris and an uncle, Seth Akin

Funeral service – Friday, March 6, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at Egypt Christian Church with Bro. Paul Patton and Bro. Joel Patton officiating

Burial in Antioch Cemetery

Visitation after 3:00 P.M. Thursday and from 6:00 A.M. until 9:00 A.M. Friday at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home and after 10:00 A.M. Friday at Egypt Christian Church
