John Richard Carli

Mr. John Richard Carli, age 72, of Mt. Washington, Kentucky, formerly of Columbia, returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 16, 2023. He was born in Lockport, Illinois to the late Mario and Joyce (Carlson) Carli on May 31, 1951. Mr. Carli was a member of the Milltown United Methodist Church in Columbia, Kentucky. Also, he was a member of the McDonald’s Liars Club. John is a 3rd generation mason. After retirement, he spent his time at schools mentoring children as a watch dog and serving lunch. He is preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 50 years, Brenda Carli; sons, John Richard Carli, Jr. (Lisa), Scott Edward Carli (Selena), Troy Anthony Carli; grandchildren, Dustin Carli, Makayla Renfrow (Austin), Emma Carli, Madison Carli, Colby Carli, Amber Carli, Audrey Carli; great grandchildren, Blayne Carli, Gracelynn Ketterer; brothers, Bill Carli (Gail), Richard Carli (Andrea), Mario Carli (Karen); sisters, Betty Olisar (Scott), Catherine Humphrey (Ron), Barb McGinn (Lyle); and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Hwy 44 E at 123 Winning Colors Dr.) with burial to follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm.
