Johnny C. Tarter

Johnny C. Tarter, 78, of Louisville, Kentucky, formerly of Columbia, died Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at Mary & Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville.

He was born May 11, 1946, in Adair County, to the late McClellan and Viola Marie Bennett Tarter.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Shelley McDonnaugh.

Johnny was retired from WalMart as Manager of the Photo Department

Survivors include:

His sister – Linda Craven of Louisville

His niece – Christine Ward (Barry) of Louisville

One great-nephew and two great-nieces – Tate, Macy and Jordyn

The family honored his wish to be cremated and will hold a private family burial in Columbia Cemetery at a later date
