Joseph Francis Rooney

Joseph Francis Rooney, 88, of Columbia, Kentucky (formerly of Chicago, Illinois), died on Thursday, May 19, 2022.  He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on March 19, 1934 to the late Joseph Francis, Sr and Gertrude Sharkey Rooney.

Joe loved his family. He was an animal lover, especially his dog Butch.  He loved cars and trucks and would talk about all the cars he owned in his younger days.

Two daughters – Rhonda Walls (Ken) of Palos Park, Illinois and Beth VanArsdale (Alan) of Columbia

Five grandchildren – Jason Walls (Carrie), Jeff Walls, Justin Walls (Jenn) all of Illinois, Heather Stargle (Matt) of Russell Springs and Lauren Fletcher (Cameron) of Greensburg

Three great grandchildren – Aniela Walls, Riley Walls and Jude Fletcher

A private funeral service will be held.
