Karalee (Caldwell) Jones

On Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 6:15 P.M. EDT, the death angel visited the Golden Living Nursing Center at Green Hill in Greensburg, Kentucky and took Karalee Caldwell Jones home.  She was born in Adair County, Kentucky on March 31, 1947 to the late Lettie Pearl Smith Caldwell and Alfonso Caldwell.  She professed faith in Jesus Christ at an early age, joining Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Adair County, where she was a faithful member.  She was a choir member and served on the Missionary and Usher Boards.  She was church custodian for many years.

She was also a faithful worker in the Zion District Women’s Education Institute, serving as President until her health failed.  She worked diligently anywhere and everywhere she was called.  She volunteered her services willingly throughout many different community organizations.  She received many awards of recognition for her dedicated service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lettie Pearl and Alfonso Caldwell and a brother, Wayne Caldwell.  She leaves to mourn her passing, five sisters; Ina Fay Richardson, Helen Taylor (Randy), Ailene Foster all of Campbellsville, Mary Virginia McKinney of Columbia, South Carolina, Glenda Rae Porter of Greensburg, sisters-in-law; Mary Williams of Columbia and Minnie Jones of New York as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  She also leaves to mourn, special companion; George Junior Johnson and special friends; Karen Reed, Aleta Thompson, Mary Etta Newby and Brenda Thompson

Funeral service – Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 12 Noon CDT at Mount Vernon Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Caldwell delivering the eulogy

Burial in Bridgewater-Groves-Caldwell Cemetery in Green County

Visitation on Wednesday after 5:00 P.M. and on Thursday until 10:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home and after 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the church
