Leava Dean Coomer, 78, of the Portland community in Adair County, died Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11:05 A.M. at the Westlake Regional Hospital.

She was born April 28, 1936, in Adair County, to the late Caleb and Nellie Posey Beard.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Louie Beard.  She was a member of Tarter’s Chapel United Methodist Church and was employed by Osh Kosh B’Gosh for 29 years.

Survivors include:
Her husband – Cordell Coomer of Portland
One son – Randy “Boone” (Lisa) Coomer of Portland
One grandson – Adam (Tara) Coomer of Columbia
Several other relatives and friends

Funeral service – Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Herbert Janes and Rev. Rod Walley officiating

Burial in Tarter’s Chapel Cemetery

Visitation after 4:00 P.M. Monday
