Linda Sue (Herron) Gaskins

Linda Sue Gaskins, 74, of the MIllerfield Community in Adair County, died Monday, November 6, 2023 at U.K. Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington.

She was born March 28, 1949, in Springfield, Illinois, to the late Robert Leslie and Hazel Emma Campbell Herron.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the following siblings; Helen South, Larry Herron, Bill Herron, Roy Herron, Doris Rector, Shirley O’Banion, Danny Herron and her twin Mary Lou Langlier.   Linda was Homemaker and was known as “The Best Cook Around.”

Survivors include:

Her husband – Lemuel Gaskins of Columbia

One daughter – Michelle Miller of Campbellsville

Seven Siblings – Gene Herron of Illinois, Jeffrey Herron of Columbia, Bobby Herron of Indiana, Janet Jrue of Columbia, Barbara Gastent of Illinois, Brenda Forshear of Illinois and Joann Alexander of Illinois

Five grandchildren – Joshua Foley, Brittany Foley, Brandy Carpenter, Jordan Sinclair, Austin Sinclair

18 Great-Grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

Funeral service – Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Richie Curtis officiating

Burial in the Gaskins Family Cemetery in the Millerfield Community

Visitation after 10:00 A.M. Thursday

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to St. Jude Children’s Hospital which can be left at the funeral home
