Lloyd Eugene “Gene” Curtis, Sr., 77, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Monday, January 23, 2023 at  his home.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Mae “Lynn” Curtis on Thursday, January 19, 2023.  He formerly worked for Jennings County, Indiana, Water Company and Cox Interior and a U.S. Army Veteran.  He was an accomplished Musician and was an excellent handyman

Survivors include:

Three children – Mary Kaye Graham of Columbia, Lloyd Eugene Curtis, Jr. and Lori Ann Back both of North Vernon, Indiana

Two brothers–in-law – Jim A. Patton and Willie Patton both of Columbia

Two sisters-in-law – Rosemary Harmon and Starr Tweedy both of Columbia

Eight grandchildren – Amy Lynn Nichols, Mary Ellen Howard, Tyler, Britney, Baylee, Chrissy, Dalton and Wesley Curtis, Justin Back

Eight great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends

Funeral service for Gene and Lynn Curtis will be Friday, January 27, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral with Bro. Paul Patton officiating

Burial in Columbia Cemetery

Visitation after 5:00 P.M. Thursday
