Millie Jane (Wheat) Murrell

Millie Jane Murrell, 82 of Columbia, Kentucky, died Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 4:25 P.M. at TJ Health/Columbia Emergency Room

She was born August 11, 1941, in Adair County, to the late Aubrey Lee and Medie Corbin Wheat.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Oris Murrell on November 5, 2018 and the following brothers and sisters, Stanford Wheat, Jessie Ford, Edell Melson, Annie Bennett, Marie Helm and Alta Richards.

Survivors include:

One son and daughter-in-law – Oris Junior and Della Murrell of Columbia

One daughter and son-in-law – Janet and Kenny Brock of Columbia

One brother – Paul Wheat of Edinburgh, Indiana

Seven grandchildren – Shelly Yarberry, Christy Burton, Timmy Morgan, Tonya Howard, Eric Helm, Jimmy Helm, Anthony Rector

21 Great-Grandchildren and two Great-Great Grandchildren

Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

Funeral service – Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 10:30 A.M. a Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Helm officiating

Burial in Columbia Cemetery

Visitation after 4:00 P.M. Friday
