Phillip A. Bailey, 65, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Thursday, November 24, 2022 at 1:01 P.M. at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.
He was born August 14, 1957 in Adair County. Preceding him in death was his father, James Bailey and his first wife, Theresa McLean Bailey.
Phillip started his career in the Emergency Medical Services as an EMT with Adair County Ambulance Service. He moved to Pinellas County, Florida, where he worked in the Emergency Medical Services, spending 22 years with Largo Fire Rescue, retiring as Lieutenant. He also was an instructor at the National Fire Academy and St. Petersburg College. After retirement, he moved back to Columbia and joined the Columbia-Adair County Volunteer Fire Department and attended Trinity United Methodist Church.

His wife – Robin Bailey of Columbia
His son and daughter-in-law – Stephen and Tiffany Bailey of Land O Lakes, Florida
Three step-sons – Stephen, Zachary and Spencer Cooney all of Florida
Two grandchildren – Jacob and Dylan Bailey

Funeral service – Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Pescosolido officiating
Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery with Firefighter Honors
Visitation on Tuesday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home
