Randall Banks Obituary

Randall Lee Banks, 74, of Columbia, KY, died Saturday, June 8, 2024.

He was born April 7, 1950 in Adair County to the late Marion Winfrey Banks and Lois Bennett Banks who survives.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Banks and an infant sister, Carolyn Sue Banks.  Randall was a graduate of WKU with a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture and continued to be an avid Hilltopper fan. He was a member of Cane Valley Baptist Church, retired from Bank of Columbia and a lifelong farmer. 

Survivors include:

His mother – Lois Bennett Banks of Columbia

Two daughters – MaryEllen Purcell (Anthony) of Nicholasville and Amy Banks of Columbia

One sister – Betty Brockman (Bobby) of Mt. Juliet, TN

Three grandchildren – Matthew Purcell, Andrew Purcell and Ethan Purcell of Nicholasville

His former wife – Ellen Banks of Campbellsburg

Sister-in-law - Barbara Banks of Columbia

A host of other relatives and friends

Funeral service – Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with burial in Columbia Cemetery

Visitation on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.  and on Wednesday until time for the service
